Yes, Maghadhi (pali ) is said to be the language the devas speak. This is in a Commentary by Buddhaghosa.
How can I read the Visuddhimagga by Buddhaghosa in English? Where can I find a website where it has the atthakatha translated to English? Where can I find a website where the Abhidhamma is fully translated?

One of the difficult things to believe and cited by commentary haters is that the pāḷi language is said to be the “natural” language of all beings. If a baby was not taught to speak, it would naturally speak pāḷi.
I just wonder if learning pāḷi is a pāramī builder or if I can count on naturally learning it in my next life… or perhaps… my learning now perpetuates it to be a “natural language”
