Namo Buddhaya,
In Cullavagga, its written:
“Monks, a condition of further-men, a wonder of psychic power is not to be exhibited to householders.1 Whoever should exhibit them, there is an offence of wrong-doing. Break, monks, this wooden bowl; having reduced it to fragments, give them to monks as perfume to mix with ointment.2 And, monks, a wooden bowl should not be used.3 Whoever should use one, there is an offence of wrong-doing.”
Does this mean showing all psychic powers is prohibited for display to householders? Even the ones which do not involve physical transformation such as mind reading or seeing others past lives?
