So I visited this place Today…there are three thai monks for now … sometimes number increase…and two thai women who help to cook food for these monks …they go for alms round which I missed…
As I asked them what donation can I give for monestry… i decided to give light bulbs and table fan . And some food…
Monks are so polite. I think it’s a thai language which is sound so polite…
Nice experience

Yes always best to ask the monks what they need rather than “guessing”.
For instance, monk buckets or 8 requisite bundles are a waste of money which goes in the double category of “symbolic” and “guessing”.

There is also a way to give allowable requisites to the monks. In this way they can get personal items for themselves with the kappiya. I have a video about this and a post somewhere on my youtube channel and website.

When you ask “what does the monastery need?” , they will tell you monastery items.
When you ask “what does the sangha need” they can tell you items that are in low supply for sangha.
When you ask “Do any monks have any personal needs”, They can ask the monks and get back to you. The last one is not a sangha donation.
