Put your artificial intelligence tools, resources and website that you know of here. Please do not just list junk though (there is a lot of it out there).
TPR now has ai-searching feature. Now you can query and ask “Tell me about the lady who needed seeds to save her baby?”
This is easy, but if you don’t remember what to search for, you can us the ai searching feature.
I liked Norbu in the beginning very much but stopped if I asked something and answer war extremely narrow ETB only…it was not in the beginning but changed over the time…This narrow and limited answers made me first time aware of the ETB situation and brought me to here. For Sutta question it might be still ok but for me Gemini mostly is helpful too.
Just putting the link here so it’s easy to find, I found it by accident here a while ago, don’t even remember the topic.
I used TPR with E-Pitaka for a few days however I am not a fan, the translation is bad, doesn’t flow well at all, is plain wrong at times and uses sanskrit terms sometimes which is very annoying.
Plus using it in the TPR is a chore, because you are not able to open tabs side by side.
I use the great TPR only for learning Pali now and am fully back to using the website above for actual Canon study.
You can change windows side by side if you want in tpr.
The other translation they do is a different and done with DeepSeek if I’m not mistaken.
They have an app (closed source) called “open tipitaka”. It is in the app store. You might like that desktop version.
Personally, I prefer the shorter block translations from epitaka.
I could probably use the data from the pa-auk website if I wanted. We all know each other. The translations are open.. the source is closed.
Here is the deepseek translation app website below:
Oh wow thanks, I just checked the settings, ok now this is a different story, great! And will check out the Pa Auk desktop version, didn’t know about opentipitaka!
There is still the issue of the actual translation though, if at any time in the future you could add it as an option (so one can choose either e-pitaka or Pa Auk website translation) I think it would be useful to more people than just myself.
In any case the TPR is indispensable, this would just be icing on the cake.
