The muslim son of an Imam and one of Myanmar’s successful electronic businesses converted to Theravada and ordained as a Bhikkhu. Leaving his wealth, inheritance, and comfortable life.
Tried to attach a picture of him as a Bhikkhu here but it did not let me unfortunately.

That’s good. I hope he can realize the path, fruit, and Nibbana.

Did he join a vinaya tradition and really leave his wealth behind?
Granted he won’t get his father’s support, but in other traditions (most) you can keep the money.

He ordained in the Burmese tradition so I am assuming that he can’t keep his money.

So that means that most monks in the Burmese tradition do not use money?

Monks in Myanmar are prohibited from having money. Some do take money donations but I guess it goes to the monastery fund which is managed by the abbot.
