I have two questions:
- Should Paramattha be deliberately analyzed and categorized, or does it come to be seen naturally?
- Is it possible to see Paramattha even before entering samādhi?
I have two questions:
Great questions. Actually paramattha dhammas are arising now at every moment- seeing, color, hearing, sound, hardness taste, pleasant feeling, unpleasant feeling , thinking, irritation, clinging , and so on. And we are aware, sometimes of some of these.
However, without the Buddhas teaching they are not understood as they really are.
Yes, via khaṇika samādhi, which can eventually lead to ñāṇa.

What is it like before khaṇika samādhi? Some teachers even ask student to observe Paramattha at that earlier stage. I find this point difficult to understand.
Khaṇika samādhi is momentary concentration. It happens all the time.
It is simply ekaggatā cetasika, which arises with every citta since it is a universal cetasika.

Correction: I think it only arises during specific moments of kusala citta with sati and paññā, not with every citta. My mistake.
Then does that mean that Khaṇika samādhi can arise even at the early stage of practice?
I have a correction to make:
I think it only arises during specific moments of kusala citta with sati and paññā. However, this can occur in daily life. Paññā must be developed for it to occur.

At the moments of wisely considering the Dhamma, the citta is kusala and associated with panna (wisdom) - real pariyatti.
It is the same type of citta as that when a dhamma is known directly with wisdom. But the object at this time is a paramattha dhamma. It is associated with a level of samadhi, hence khanika samadhi, a moment of patipatti. It is intricate but also understandable.. It can happen right now, for a moment..
Just to clarify, so when we intellectually contemplate the Dhamma, is it the same as when someone directly knows the Dhamma with wisdom in meditation? For example, we can intellectually contemplate that our body is made up of the four elements and the kalapas and that there are the four elements in each kalapa along with color, smell, taste and nutritive essence and we contemplate that they are impermanent, suffering, and non self, but we may not see these kalapas yet like how a meditator would. I still feel like my mind is moving away from concepts and thinking in terms of ultimate reality. So it’s associated with real panna and is kusala citta? Does it count as pariyatti and patipatti?
Right , the mind is still taking concepts as object but they are concepts about realities. it is more valuable than thinking about other ideas..Assuming it is wise thinking, it is pariyatti.
