Can we say that the meditation practice of a layperson is helpful for their success?
Not in terms of direct worldly gain,
but suppose they have achieved some jhāna levels — they might be able to make decisions that are more beneficial for them in terms of success and profit.
Or perhaps, because their mind is focused, they can learn many things and solve hard problems, leading to success in research.
Is it possible?
I think if one attains jhana, he will be able to learn things more quickly and easily due to his concentration. He will also be able to truly rest by entering jhana at will.
