I start with this question.
Best to break down the concepts, “I” especially, into what is really there.
There are 4 jatis of citta- kiriya, kusala, akusala and vipaka.
Now these are arising - there is seeing , there is thinking. The thinking is either kusala or akusala and the seeing is vipaka - result of past kamma.
None of these has anything to do with a self, with I. they simply arise because there are conditions for them to arise. They can’t be stopped- Yet due to hearing Dhamma - they may start to be understood. And it is understanding that will naturally turn away from the subtle wrong view of belief in a self that can change any of this. Wisdom works its way naturally - but self view interferes. Understanding this is a powerful kind of kusala that can really uproot view. So rather than wishing to change nature the right way is to see into it.
And then kusala kamma must give good results - that is its nature.
