Favorite Jataka tales

Hello friends and Venerable Sirs,
What are your favorite jataka tales?

Mine are Vessantara and Temiya jataka tales.
I hope I can give as many gifts as Vessantara.

I love them all.
Interesting you like the Vessanatara - some people find it a bit extreme, but it shows what it takes to be a Bodhisatta.

I like the one with the monk who waited 12 years to ask for some slippers. He asked the king to meet with him each and every day, planning to ask for some slippers, but became shameful and then canceled the meeting and sent him away.

I like that story.
I like so many stories… maybe a good chunk of them, but this is what first came to my mind.

Thank you for answering, Venerable Sir and Robert. I also like those other jataka tales where the Bodhisatta gives up his kingdom and become a hermit/ascetic in the forest or on the Himalayas. It really shows us what it means to be an ascetic because once someone becomes an ascetic/monk, he doesn’t touch money anymore. I wish more people contemplate on those jataka tales because then it would make sense why monks and any other pabbajita should not use money.
