I want to start memorizing and chanting suttas. What are some suttas or verses from suttas that are useful to remember? Should I chant in the Burmese style since I’m from Myanmar? Should I chant the English translations too? It feels a bit awkward and weird to chant in English because it feels like I’m singing.

I recommend Sri Lanka or international style of pali pronunciation, but if you’re only going to be active in Myanmar, then local pronunciation is best for you.

I will learn the international style of pronunciation and chant in the Burmese chanting style, so the pronunciation will be international, while the rhythm, intonation, and other elements will follow the Burmese style.
