Ok so since I studied biology and love science. I was at the aquarium the other day sending metta to all the fish and mammals in the tanks. And then the jelly fish were swimming and I realised they have neither a brain or a heart base. Invertebrates have some physiology that need some attention. In biology and taxonomy we get amazed by the diversity of life and biologists also have a hard time working out what is a plant and what is an animal sometimes. But let’s just look at jelly fish as they appear to have consciousness but a different nervous system to us. Hence no brain and no heart. So I am going to put it out here that consciousness is likely based on our nervous system and not in the brain or the heart. …. A new model..
