Someone on Facebook ask:
If a person maintains a deep understanding of not self (anatta) at the experiential level, does that mean their flow of karmic consciousness will not be subject to re-birth? Please, no AI or AI assisted posts.
Namo Buddhāya
If a person maintains a deep understanding of not self (anatta) at the experiential level, here the definition of experential level need to refer to VipassanāÑāna of ArahattaMaggaPhalaÑāna, then their karmic consciousness will get destroyed and get transformed into functional consciousness (kiriyacitta, no more new kamma creative power, like a deep fried seed)
Because no more KusalākusalaSankhara (wholesome and unwholesome karmic formation), MaranaSannaJavana (Msj, near death cognitive process) will not arise.
Without the arising of Msj, new PatisandhiCitta(RebirthConsciousness) can’t arise.
Then He is Perfectly Completely Ultimately and Absolutely liberated from all kinds of rebirth, wherever whenever whatsoever.

This is how to understand PaṭiccaSamuppāda (Dependent Origination), in this part is about
AvijjaNirodhā sankharanirodho,
Sankharanirodhā viññānanirodho.
Avijja means ignorance, not knowing that 5 khandha is anicca dukkha anatta.
Sankhara mean Kusala and Akusala mental formation, here especially refer to Msj. The “creator” of next life.
Viññāna here refer to PatisandhiViññāna, Rebirth Consciousness.
When no Avijja (because Avijja get destroyed by ArahattaMaggaVipassanaÑāna that thoroughly see 5 Khandha as Anicca Dukkha Anatta), Sankhara can’t arise. Because Msj (near death cognitive process) not arise, no creator for next life.
Because no more creation for next life, after the last consciousness, cuticitta perish, no more new consciousness, no more new rebirth, and when the consciousness perfectly completely ultimately and absolutely cease to be like this (not temporarily like in Asaññasatta or NirodhaSamapatti), there’s no going back to existence, to bhava, to Samsara, to rebirth.
Therefore Arahants are like the oil lamp with oil finished. No more new fuel. The Msj is the oil refiller at near death moment.
So the answer to your question is, if the Anatta Realization mature to the level of ArahattaMaggaPhala, Yes, no more rebirth for him.
But if not yet mature to ArahattaMaggaPhalaÑāna, he’ll still experience rebirth. But due to powerful Anatta perception, this Super Powerful Kamma will cause him to reborn in Good Realm and if he continue practicing, he’ll attain Bodhi very Fast.
Among All Three Perception, Anatta is the Foremost. Suññāta is the Highest.
External ascetic can know Anicca and Dukkha but only Sammāsambuddha can explain Anatta.
Sādhu sādhu sādhu!
Good Question. Through your question, this Dhammapariyaya arise in the world.
