Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
This is added to the FAQ as discussed with founders: @RobertK and @bksubhuti
ClassicalTheravada.org is a research and discussion website that cares about reliable data. AI use is unavoidable, and we even have an AI proofreader on our composer window. However, when it comes to creating content and discussions, we cannot tolerate AI-generated ideas or discussions. This is a human discussion group that displays real human thoughts. Below is a list of what is prohibited, allowed, and regulated.
Quick Reference Table
| Category | Status | Conditions & Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Grammar & Spelling Correction | Allowed | Check your work. |
| Text Formatting | Allowed | Making tables, clean up, etc. |
| Translation Assistance | Allowed | Source text must be present alongside any AI-generated translation. Model or software should be disclosed. |
| Pāḷi Translation Requirement | Regulated | Standalone Pāḷi text without an accompanying English translation is prohibited. |
| Pāḷi Quote Verification | Regulated | You must verify that it exists and include a link. Merely copying what AI says exists is not enough. |

| External Links | Prohibited | Posting links to AI platforms, tools, or external AI outputs is not allowed. |
| AI Opinions, Commentary or Judgments | Prohibited | AI-generated opinions, doctrinal interpretations, or commentary are strictly forbidden. |
