Its fine if you want to agree with them, its just at odds with the commentaries etc. Anyway we are about to go in circles.
Please remember the word ‘Nibbana’ has various senses. As a few examples, it can be used to refer to
Jhana (vikkhambhana nirodha)
Phala citta (paṭippassaddhi nirodha)
Asankhata dhatu
The latter is what is relevant to this discussion
Digha Nikāya 1 (Brahmajala sutta)
- The body of the Tathāgata, bhikkhus, stands with
the leash that bound it to existence cut. As long as his
body stands, gods and men shall see him. But with the
breakup of the body and the exhaustion of the life-faculty,
gods and men shall see him no more.
From dvayatānupassanāsutta
amosadhammaṃ nibbānaṃ,
tadariyā saccato vidū,
te ve saccābhisamayā,
nicchātā parinibbutā"ti.
This should make clear, what is referred to as ‘sacca’(amosadhammaṃ nibbānaṃ) is one thing and kilesa nirodha, another.
Nibbana-sacca abhisamaya and kilesa nirodha is done by the Ariyamagga, at the same time.
Blessed one declared four Noble Truths, not three.
